Mag advert

This image is an idea of our magazine advert. The top of the advert is a still time lapse of the sky which is linked in with our idea for the digipack cover and links in with our music video aswell. I found that by doing something similar to our digipack it would help us link everything together and help the audience understand the link between both the digipack and the magazine advert.

Album Title

We have created this wordle at a brainstorm that we both did on the ideas and associations from our song. The words that we both came up with come through the most in the image showing the importance of this. The words that we are going to use to help us to create an album title are; Insecure, Opposites and Drop.

Soulwax Nite Versions album

Recreated verison
We were practising using Adobe Photoshop, and we tried to recreate the Soulwax Nite Versions album. As it was our first time using photoshop we thought we done a pretty good job of trying to recreate the album.

The original cover that we tried to recreate is from a rock band called Soulwax wax, their many focus in their music is the instruments they play. The genre of the rock band comes through the album cover, as the lines are very electrical and can be seen as guitar strings. I find that the album is hard to look at and the writing in the background is hard to read unless you focus on it strongly. I think the band did this on purpose as they like to focus more on their instruments than the lyrics they are singing. Whereas i feel that the colours used, white and pink, could be controversial as rock bands don't really go for bright pinky colours and more neutrals and darker colours.

Our recreated version, we used Adobe Photoshop, we first put the text on the background in white. then we produced another layer and put the stripes on, it turned our pretty good. When we first tried to recreate this on Photoshop we found it really difficult as it was a new software to us and we had never used it. Once we had watch a few youtube videos about it and was playing around with all the tools on photoshop it got a lot easier.
