annotated still frames


 Mulrey Theory- the male gaze.
this theory represents men as an article, controlling and treat women as objects to look at. this image is of a woman taped to a wall like a display of art for an audience of men.
 Berger - ways of seeing
the image in this pictre is of teenagers acting free and youthful. They are throwing stones off a clip top. Berger believed that every media text has a view from the camera and the audience is aware of the cameraman/ artist.
the last two pictures presents Gauntlett's theory of Men in crisis. this is portrayed by 2 different types the new man and traditional man. the first picture represents the New man where he is shown looking weaker and innocent. Where as the picture below shows the traditional man where he is surrounded by women and in the center of the shot.
