Record Labels

There are multiple record labels around the world.

Shady Records was founded by Eminem and Paul Rosenberg in 1999 and has produced a lot of music in partnership with aftermath. So along with the Aftermath artists they also have Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf, Bad Meets Evil and Obie Trice.




EMI Records Ltd, was a British record label. It was founded by the EMI company in 1972 as its flagship label and launched in January 1973 as the successor to its Columbia and Parlophone labels. The EMI label was launched worldwide. It has signed artists such as Elvis and The Beatles 



Def Jam Recordings is an American record label, focused predominantly on hip hop and urban music, owned by Universal Music Group. In the UK, the label takes on the name Def Jam UK and is operated through Virgin EMI, while in Japan, it is Def Jam Japan operating through Universal Sigma Music. The label distributes various record labels, including Roc-A-Fella Records, Kanye West's GOOD Music, Ludacris' Disturbing Tha Peace, and ARTium Recordings, headed by Def Jam's current executive vice president, No I.D.. Current artists include Logic, Big Sean, Kanye West, Leona Lewis, 2 Chainz, Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Mother Mother, Rick Ross, Afrojack, Jeezy, Frank Ocean, Jeremih, Ludacris, Alesso, Vince Staples, and Jhene Aiko, among others.



Sony Music Entertainment  is an American music corporation managed and operated by Sony Corporation of America (SCA), a subsidiary of Japanese conglomerateSony Corporation. they have signed artists like  Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.





Syco Music, also known as Syco Records, is a British record label founded by Simon Cowell in 2002. It is
a subsidiary of Syco Entertainment. Syco's original base is in London and it has enjoyed most success in the UK market. From 2004 to date, the label has had 22 UK number-one singles. From 2004 to the end of 2009, the label achieved 13 number-one albums. Factoring in releases under predecessor label S Records, Syco/S achieved 20 number-one albums in the 2000-2009 period, more than any other imprint in the UK, including far larger operations like Columbia Records, Warner Bros. Records  and Polydor Records Additionally, the label has achieved 7 top 10 U.S. albums since 2006.
